Erin Malawer, Executive Director and Founder 

Erin Malawer is a digital health entrepreneur, Emmy award winning writer and producer, and Executive Director of AllergyStrong. She is also the co-founder of the Food Allergy Collaborative – a national coalition of major non-profits in food allergy working together to bring about systemic change. She is an active advocate for all patients, regularly working with lawmakers, NIH, DOD, FDA, and other government entities to bring about positive change for those with food allergies.  To accelerate quality of life improvements and drive research, Erin has testified before the FDA, lobbied for protections on Capitol Hill, and advised grassroots efforts across the country. 

Erin serves on FARE’s Community Access Program as well as the Food Allergy Task Force at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  In addition to advising pharmaceutical companies, tech start-ups, food manufacturers, media outlets, restaurants, and others on food allergies, Erin consults and contributes to a variety of major media sources including NBC News, ABC, Fox News, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Politico, CBS News, and others.  Erin was featured on the Discovery Chanel documentary, “Emerging Epidemic: Food Allergies in America” (2013).  She is also a producer on the Emmy-winning public service announcement, “Spell It Out” and a docuseries about food allergies.
