Programs

AllergyStrong supports people living with food allergy, their caregivers, and those responsible for protecting them, paying particular attention to underserved and at-risk communities nationwide.

Health equity is at the heart of all of AllergyStrong’s efforts.  AllergyStrong puts protections in place and extends the reach of quality healthcare, treatment, and critical resources to underserved populations. We ensure at-risk families with food allergies are offered safe options in free lunch programs, food pantries, and considered during humanitarian crises; we represent patients to corporate, community and other interested and invested parties; and encourage research to better understand how food allergies impact underserved and diverse populations.

We accomplish this by engaging in:

  • Impactful Advocacy
  • Meaningful Engagement
  • Critical Research
  • Funding to ensure therapies reach the people that need them most

NextGen Tech and Ai

Explore how latest developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a unique focus on tools like ChatGPT and other Large Language Models, could help increase health equity and further breakdown barriers to critical care and resources.

Application concept: Natural language/conversation application that provides personalized answers and advice to spoken questions about food allergy and solutions AND knows and remembers things about you, your family and your environment. Not a web scrape/search application….this is an information delivery application.

Who does this benefit: People who don’t have the know-how, skill, and time to get answers on the internet. This can be particularly useful for underserved population who often lack access to quality healthcare resources and education.

Voice of the Patient

Leveraging publicly available data through social and digital media, as well as commercially available data sources, identify communities of interest, apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to gain unique insights into attitudes, opinions, beliefs and behaviors.

By better understanding these populations impacted by food allergies, we can better inform everything from advocacy programs, to treatment options and drug trials, to prevention programs and advocacy efforts.

To best serve and represent impacted communities, we need to better understand them.
